Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Energy Epoch (the browser game at playenergyepoch.com and the iOS app “Energy Epoch”) handles information.
Summary
You can play Energy Epoch without creating an account. Core gameplay runs on your device. Optional account features (magic-link sign-in and cloud save backup) only apply if you choose to use them on the web or in a future app build that enables them.
Information stored on your device

Game progress — lease/save data, settings, and UI preferences
(e.g. via browser
localStorageor equivalent on-device storage in the iOS app). - This data stays on your device unless you use optional cloud backup.
Optional account & cloud features (web)
If you sign in with a magic link on the website:
- Email address — used only to send one-time login links and to associate your profile and cloud saves.
- Display / profile name — if you set one.
- Cloud save blobs — optional backups of your games/maps stored in our cloud storage so you can restore progress across browsers.
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in; HTTP-only, Secure.
Magic-link emails are sent via our email provider (Resend). We do not sell your email address.
Analytics & advertising
We do not use third-party advertising SDKs in the core game. We do not sell personal information. Server logs on Cloudflare may include standard request metadata (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and reliability.
Children
Energy Epoch is a general-audience industrial simulation. It is not directed at children under 13. Do not use optional account features if you are under the age required by law in your region for consent.
Your choices
- Play fully offline / logged out — no account required.
- Clear site data or reinstall the app to remove on-device saves.
- If you use an account, you may request deletion of account and cloud save data by contacting us (see below).
Data retention
- On-device saves: until you clear them or uninstall.
- Login tokens: short-lived (minutes).
- Sessions: rolling period while you keep using the account.
- Cloud saves: until you delete them or request account deletion.
International processing
Hosting and email may be processed on infrastructure in the United States or other regions used by Cloudflare and our email provider.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
